Yasser Badri 7-3-2022 In light of the 2022 declaration of civil society and in support of the role of civil organizations in achieving the sustainable development goals, the Program for the Development of NGOs at the Misr Al -Khair Foundation this morning, Monday, organized the third round table entitled: The role of civil organizations in achieving the first goal of the sustainable development goals 2030 and concerned with "eliminating poverty." Which was held under the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the General Union of NGOs and international and local bodies, where the number of (50) experts and representatives of the civil work and members of the House of Representatives participated in the table. The meeting of the table may focus on the first goal of the sustainable development goals 2030, which is concerned with eliminating poverty, and the meeting aimed to open the door for discussion and dialogue between the participants in the meeting on three axes, namely: - The first axis: the current situation of the system of social protection policies (achievements / challenges) in light of Egypt's strategic vision for sustainable development 2030 - The second axis: the current reality of the civil organizations in strengthening safety networks for the most needy groups to achieve the first goal (reality and hope). - The third axis: the future of the partnership between the private sector and both the government sector and the private sector to investigate the first goal concerned with eliminating poverty. The meeting ended with an agreement on a number of important recommendations on increasing the contributions of civil organizations in achieving the first goal. It was also agreed that these recommendations are formulated with a policy paper at the earliest time and are raised socially. It is worth noting that this meeting comes within a series of meetings that are planned during the current year "round tables" with the aim of coming up with a proposed societal vision on ways to activate the role of civil organizations in achieving the sustainable development goals 2030 in light of the announcement of the Egyptian state in 2022 the year of civil society.
